Terms and conditions of rent

To rent a car with Rentmotors in Turkey, the driver must provide:

✓ Valid driving license
✓ Valid identity document (passport)

Required renter age - from 21 to 75 years old 
Minimum driving experience - 2 years

We accept national driving licenses from all countries as long as they are written in the Latin alphabet. For licenses issued in non-Latin alphabets, a certified translation is required or International Driving Licence with your national driving license.

We accept the following methods of payment:

• credit or debit cards, VISA / MasterCard
• cash

For the deposit, we accept credit cards in the main driver’s name or cash payments. 
The deposit is taken as a pre-authorization at the start of the rental and is automatically released by the bank within 21 to 30 days, depending on the bank’s process.

If the customer purchases SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) insurance, the deposit is completely waived. In this case, only 100 EUR (or equivalent currency) is held as a guarantee for possible traffic fines. This amount can be paid in cash or by credit card. If no fines are detected upon vehicle return, any cash amount taken is refunded immediately.

The payment card must be issued on the name of the renter, and the renter’s name must be clearly printed on the card along with the validity dates and the card number.

The card must remain valid and active throughout the entire rental period.

The maximum excess amount will be displayed during the vehicle selection process at the time of reservation.

Our standard practice is to include basic coverage (CDW – Collision Damage Waiver and TP – Theft Protection) in the rental rate. These coverages limit the customer’s liability in the event of vehicle collision or theft.

In Case of Damage:
If the vehicle is stolen, seriously damaged, or involved in an accident with another party, the customer must immediately contact Rentmotors and the police.
If the customer fails to provide the official police report (and alcohol report, if required), they will be fully liable for the repair or replacement cost of the vehicle.
If the car sustains minor damage and no other party is involved, the customer must still notify Rentmotors immediately.

Rentmotors is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings inside the car during or after the rental period.

If any damage is identified after vehicle return, a Damage Administration Fee may be added to the repair cost. This fee typically ranges between 100 and 150 EUR and covers administrative handling of the damage case.

Not included in CDW & TP coverage:

Loss, theft, or damage to keys, aerials, jack, safety triangles and vests, wipers, fuel cap, luggage cover, or any other fixed or mobile components of the car are excluded from insurance coverage and will be charged to the renter.

The rental rate includes Third Party Liability Insurance, which is mandatory under local law. This insurance covers property damage and bodily injury caused to third parties by the rental vehicle, within the legal limits defined by Turkish traffic legislation.

If an accident occurs and the Rentmotors customer is not at fault, and:
• the accident is officially reported to the police,
• the police report clearly states that the third party is guilty,
• and the third party holds valid insurance,
then the Rentmotors customer bears no financial liability or additional charges.

All repair and compensation costs are covered by the third party’s insurance.

However, if no official police report or required documentation is provided, this protection cannot be applied.
If the car sustains minor damage and no other party is involved, the renter must still inform Rentmotors immediately.

To reduce the excess to zero in case of vehicle collision or theft, the SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) option can be purchased. This insurance removes the renter’s financial liability completely, meaning the excess is reduced to zero.

The following conditions must be met for SCDW to apply:
• the customer must purchase SCDW coverage at the start of the rental.
• In case of an accident or theft, Rentmotors and the police must be notified immediately.
• the official police report and required documents must be provided to Rentmotors.
• the renter must not violate the rental or insurance terms (e.g., driving under the influence, unauthorized driver, traffic law violations, etc.).

When these conditions are met, the renter will not be charged any additional amount for vehicle damage or theft.

Mileage:
Rentmotors Turkey provide vehicles with unlimited mileage

Fuel policy:
Our fuel policy is same to same: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as it had at the start of the rental.If returned with less fuel, the missing amount will be charged at the current market price on the return date plus a refueling service fee of 20 EUR.

Car wash:
The car wash is included in the rental price. The vehicle is delivered clean, and customers may return it dirty without any standard cleaning fee. However, if the car is returned extremely dirty (e.g., interior spills, pet hair, strong odors, or stains) and requires special deep cleaning, an additional detailed cleaning charge of 20–50 EUR may apply.

Grace period:
A delay of up to 2 hours at vehicle return is accepted without any extra day charge. If the delay exceeds 2 hours, an additional day’s rental fee will be applied.

The rented vehicle cannot be taken outside the borders of Turkey.
Crossing into Northern Cyprus, Georgia, Bulgaria, or any neighboring country is strictly prohibited.
In such cases of unauthorized or improper use, all insurance coverage becomes void, and any damage or loss will be fully charged to the renter.

A one way rental is a rental which starts at one location and terminates at another. Availability is a subject of confirmation by Rentmotors. A fee may apply for this service. Please, contact our reservation center for details.

• It is prohibited to use the vehicle off public roads, on rough terrain, for crossing water obstacles, or in the forest
• The use of the vehicle in the entrepreneurial activities of the renter or third parties, including as a taxi, is not permitted
• Subleasing and any other transfer of the vehicle by the Renter to third parties is prohibited
• It is prohibited to dismantle or repair the vehicle, as well as to interfere with the vehicle's design or install additional equipment
• Driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or toxic substances is prohibited

An Airport Fee may apply to the rental when picking up the car at the airport.

Out of hours option free of charge:
It is possible to pick up or drop off a vehicle outside regular working hours, and this service is completely free of charge.
No additional fee is applied. To ensure smooth service, out-of-hours pickup or return must be requested in advance.

Snow chains:
During the winter season, we offer snow chains for rent upon request.
Snow chains can be provided for all vehicle categories if requested in advance.
Fee: The rental cost for snow chains is 5 EUR per day.

Traffic fines processing fee:
Traffic fines (e.g., speeding, parking, radar violations) issued during the rental period are automatically assigned to the vehicle’s license plate by the authorities.
Once the fine is received by Rentmotors from the official authority, it is matched with the corresponding rental contract based on the rental dates.The fine amount is charged to the customer’s credit card or withheld from the deposit.
A 20 EUR administrative processing fee applies for each fine.
SCDW or any other insurance options do not cover traffic fines.
