Terms and conditions of rent

To rent a car with Rentmotors, the driver must provide:

✓ Valid driving license
✓ Valid passport
✓ Debit or credit card (VISA/MasterCard)

Minimum renter age - 21 years old 
Minimum driving experience - 2 years

We accept the following methods of payment and making a deposit:

• credit/debit cards, VISA or MasterCar
• cash
• payments by invoice for companies

All services under the contract are paid with 100% prepayment for the entire rental period at the time of contract conclusion.

!The credit/debit card must be issued in the renter's name and have an expiration date no sooner than 3 months from the rental completion date.

The deposit will be blocked (pre-authorized) on the renter's credit/debit card at the time of car pickup. The exact deposit amount is available when selecting a car during reservation. The deposit is refunded within 18 to 30 business days, if there was no additional expenses for reimbursing police fines or other contractual obligations.

1 rental day is 24 hours. Free grace period for car return is 1 hours. If the car is returned more than 1 hours late, the renter will be charged the cost of an additional rental day.

Basic rates include the option of limitation the renter's maximum liability amount (CDW and TP), which is set for each vehicle category and is payable by the Renter in the event of damage to or theft of the car. The exact liability amount is equal to deposit amount, specified at the moment of car selection during reservation and in the rental agreement. 

The option to limit the maximum liability amount in case of damage or theft is valid only upon provision of documents (certificates) from the Traffic Police, confirming the occurrence of the insured event/incident/theft. In case of car theft, driver have to return car keys / car documents as well, please, don`t leave them in the car.

If certificates regarding damage, accident or theft are not provided, the renter's liability equals the cost of the actual damage inflicted (the full cost of repair or the vehicle's value in case of theft). 

In case the renter is not found guilty in the accident and complied with traffic regulations, and there is a liable party, the deposit is returned in full.

To reduce the amount of liability for vehicle damage, we recommend to add additional coverage options to reduce the renter's liability.

SuperCover or Super Collision Damage Waiver - an additional service to reduce the liability amount to zero, which is charged to the Renter in the event of car damage, vehicle damage, or theft. The provision of certificates from the Traffic Police is mandatory term to apply coverages, and return of car keys & documents mandatory in case of car theft.

Included mileage:
Rentmotors Armenia provide vehicles with unlimited mileage

Fuel policy:
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was received. Refueling with less fuel will cost 550 AMD per liter.

Car wash:
Washing the car upon return is not mandatory. In case of dirt at car body, which not allow to process inspection at return or in case of heavy soiling or smoking in the cabin requiring chemical cleaning, a fee for car wash or chemical cleaning services may apply.

Grace period:
Free grace period for car return is 1 hour. If the car is returned more than 1 hours late, the renter will be charged the cost of an additional rental day.

Driving outside of Republic of Armenia to Georgia and Russia availiable only with prior approval of Rentmotors Armenia and prior purchasing the crossing-border fee.

Travel outside of Armenia with Rentmotors car must be requested in advance to obtain a notarized power of attorney authorizing the vehicle to leave Armenia.

The renter is responsible for obtaining a foreign insurance policy, valid outside the Republic of Armenia, as all rules regarding renter liability do not apply outside the Republic of Armenia.

In other countries, the renter bears full liability for the vehicle in the event of theft, accident, etc.

The renter may return the vehicle to another Rentmotors rental station, including one in another city, with prior approval from Rentmotors. To confirm the possibility of returning the vehicle to another city/station in Armenia, please contact our reservation center

• It is prohibited to use the vehicle off public roads, on rough terrain, for crossing water obstacles, or in the forest
• The use of the vehicle in the entrepreneurial activities of the renter or third parties, including as a taxi, is not permitted
• Subleasing and any other transfer of the vehicle by the Renter to third parties is prohibited
• It is prohibited to dismantle or repair the vehicle, as well as to interfere with the vehicle's design or install additional equipment
• Driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or toxic substances is prohibited

An Airport Fee may apply to the rental when picking up the car at the airport.

If the reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the rental, a late cancellation fee of 25,000 AMD will be charged.
