Terms and conditions of rent
To rent a car with Rentmotors, the driver must provide:
✓ Valid driving license
✓ Valid passport
✓ Debit or credit card (VISA/MasterCard)
Renter age - from 21 to 70 years old
If driver is younger, then 21 y.o., additional fee 5 Euro per day will be applied
Minimum driving experience - 2 years
We accept the following method of payment:
• credit or debit cards, VISA / MasterCard
• cash
For the deposit, we accept only credit cards (VISA/MasterCard), issued on the main driver’s name.
The deposit is taken as a pre-authorization at the start of the rental and held for 21 working days on the individuals credit card, after which it is released back to their card.
The payment card must be issued on the name of the renter, and the renter’s name must be clearly printed on the card along with the validity dates and the card number.
The card must remain valid and active for a minimum of three months after the rental ends.
The maximum excess amount will be displayed during the vehicle selection process at the time of reservation, which is equal to amount of deposit.
Our standard practice is to include basic coverage (CDW – Collision Damage Waiver and TP – Theft Protection) in the rental rate. These coverages limit the customer’s liability in the event of vehicle collision or theft.
In Case of Damage:
If the vehicle is stolen, seriously damaged, or involved in an accident with another party, the customer must immediately contact Rentmotors and the police.
If the customer fails to provide the official police report (and alcohol report, if required), they will be fully liable for the repair or replacement cost of the vehicle.
If the car sustains minor damage and no other party is involved, the customer must still notify Rentmotors immediately.
Rentmotors is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings inside the car during or after the rental period.
To reduce the excess to zero in case of vehicle collision or theft, the SuperCover or SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) option can be purchased. This insurance removes the renter’s financial liability completely, meaning the excess is reduced to zero.
The following conditions must be met for SCDW to apply:
• the customer must purchase SCDW coverage at the start of the rental.
• In case of an accident or theft, Rentmotors and the police must be notified immediately.
• the official police report and required documents must be provided to Rentmotors.
• the renter must not violate the rental or insurance terms (e.g., driving under the influence, unauthorized driver, traffic law violations, etc.).
When these conditions are met, the renter will not be charged any additional amount for vehicle damage or theft.

Fuel policy:
We provide cars with a full tank, and we expect, that customers return vehicles with a full tank too. This policy known as "full to full" or "same to same". The car must be returned with a full tank too, otherwise Rentmotors will charge missing fuel. Missing fuel will incur a charge of €2.4 per liter and an administrative fee of €25. Approved gas stations: Alpet & Kastrati Group shpk.
Car wash:
The vehicle is delivered clean and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned dirty, an additional car wash fee may apply.
Grace period:
Free grace period for car return is 30 minutes. If the car is returned more than 30 minutes late, the renter will be charged the cost of an additional rental day.
Areas such as Lake Komani, Lake Bovilla, and the road segment from Berat into the Osumi Canyons and exiting in Kelcyre is not allowed as it is totally off road. Off road penalty fine is 500 EUR. Any other areas which are off road also invoke the penalty fine.
Driving outside Albania requires prior Cross Border Authorization from the Company, requested at least six (6) days in advance.
A fee of €50 applies per authorized border crossing.
Unauthorized border crossings will result in a penalty of €250 for each occurrence.
The only countries permitted for travel with vehicles leased from the Company are Montenegro, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.
Entry into Greece, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Serbia with Company vehicles is strictly prohibited and it are considered occurrences of unauthorised border crossing.
The renter may return the vehicle to another Rentmotors rental station, including one in another city, with prior approval from Rentmotors. To confirm the possibility of returning the vehicle to another city/station in Albania, please contact our reservation center
• It is prohibited to use the vehicle off public roads, on rough terrain, for crossing water obstacles, or in the forest
• The use of the vehicle in the entrepreneurial activities of the renter or third parties, including as a taxi, is not permitted
• Subleasing and any other transfer of the vehicle by the Renter to third parties is prohibited
• It is prohibited to dismantle or repair the vehicle, as well as to interfere with the vehicle's design or install additional equipment
• Driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or toxic substances is prohibited

An Airport Fee may apply to the rental when picking up the car at the airport.
